Dużo się ostatnio dzieje, ale spieszymy z aktualizacją stanu zdrowia naszych ukraińskich śliczności i pozostałych kotów. Nestor dobrze reaguje na leki przeciwbólowe, poprawił się też jego chód. Ostatnio testowo podaliśmy mu środki uspokajające (testujemy przed planowanym echem serca) i zadziałały na tyle dobrze, że udało się przemyć mu oko, obciąć pazury i ogolić sierść i nikt przy tym nie zginął 😆 ogólnie nie polecamy golenia kotów, niestety Nestor nie daje się wyczesywać ani umyć i jest w jego przypadku jedyne rozwiązanie.

Pampuszkowi po podaniu sterydu i zestawu kropli udało się znowu doprowadzić oko do porządku, ale wiemy już, że krople musi dostawać dożywotnio.
Pan Kot ma wprowadzony nowy lek z powodu braku przebierania na wadze, mimo apetytu. Miał robione badania pod kątem tarczycy i póki co wyniki są ok.

A cat family in a box

There’s one thing I loved about Istanbul, and that was all the cats. Some streets had many cats, some had none. Others had a cat wandering across the road, near a dog sprawled out in the sun, asleep. It was lovely seeing all the animals.

This feline family was photographed on the wall of the graveyard near Eyüp Sultan Mosque in the city. There were loads more about too!

Even though it's not #caturday, we wanted to share some depressing news. Ok, being frank and real for a moment, it's monumentally fucked up!
After 15+ years, months of weight loss and deteriorating health, we made the choice to put our male, ginger tabby, to sleep.
On April 6th, 2024, he spent his last hours receiving one last pet, one last tummy rub, one last kiss on the head, before enjoying one last dream.
He was "our boy". We will miss him!
Today, we continue to celebrate him by raising a toast to him and all the little hairs throughout the house we will find, reminding us of how much we love him. #castofmastodon.

Here's Dutch helping me unpack the food and supplies sent by generous people who want to help Metro Cat Rescue help kittens and cats in need.

A Metro Cat Rescue volunteer some years ago found Dutch abandoned in a place where community cats are fed. The little guy had a rash all around his neck. Luckily, this wasn't ringworm, After Dutch received flea medicine, the irritation went away.
