I did my first #Carrickmacross lace this week. It's really an odd construction. You place pattern + netting + fine muslin in a sandwich and work through it all. Later you cut away either fabric or netting or both.
I don't have the right scissors, but otherwise I was able to do the beginner piece. Mistakes were made. But I liked it.
