You may be overburdened or oppressed by your obligations when this card comes up, sure. But look at the card. Yes, his burden is heavy, and yes it seems like he couldn't possibly carry one single other wand. But the straws have not broken the camel's back, in this case. He plods on.

Wands are fire, creative energy, will, projection onto and into the environment - what better way to end that journey than by finding an appropriate outlet for those creative impulses? We may start off focusing on our own needs/wants, but true joy, real spiritual satiety and accomplishment, comes from finding a purpose and place that suits us and uses our unique abilities to their fullest.

I believe everything in the cards means something. This figure is heading towards a town or a community. Somewhere in that place, there is someone who needs the wands the figure carries. The journey is worthy, no matter how arduous, because at the end of it is purpose and the kind of accomplishment that only comes from being in service.
