Hola a todes! Queremos convocar a la próxima roda

el DIA 1 DE AGOSTO EN EL ESPACIO FURIA MARIPOSA (pje. Estevez 357, b° Güemes, Cba cap)

desde las 11hs.

Contaremos con la presencia de nuestro treinel Curly y estaremos ofreciendo la venta de un rico guiso de lentejas como excusa para poder tener un rato mas de compartida pos roda para trocar ideas y seguir fortaleciendo esta hermosa comunidad angolera!

Además, lo recaudado del guiso nos ayudará a costear el viaje para ir a ver a nuestra Contra Mestra Renata Kabilaewatala, quien estará de visita en La Plata durante el mes de octubre.

Nos ayudarian mucho si pueden hacer su reserva para calcular la cantidad de comida🫘

A capoeira demonstration stopped the crowd on a side street at the Boundary Street Festival and a ring formed instinctively. I watched two full sequences before touching the shutter — capoeira at speed requires pre-visualisation rather than reaction; the inversions happen faster than expected. By the third sequence I could frame the space and wait for the body to arrive. The ring of spectators is what makes it an image rather than an acrobatics photograph.

had a roda together with the senzala group; sadly the space was only reserved for 1.5h and the stretches and stuff took probably most of that so the actual roda wasn't too long.. still nice, got hit in my face a few times because i'm not used to playing with people who actually finish the move lol; got to play the instruments a bit

after that we collectively decided to go to our group's place
had a wayyyyy longer roda with a proper buildup in speed and the music sounded much better too; either due to the space being smaller or just because we already had a lot of axé leftover from the previous one. didn't get hit in my face, too! played a total of like 5-6 times across the two rodas.

after the roda more or less finished we got pizza, at this point there were only like 8 of us so we just hanged around, then i decided to get the djembe from our training area to the lounge, which ultimately resulted in some half hour or so? of an impromptu jam session with two djembes and a guitar
