I love that Grocery Outlet in Bishop carries such random things. Today, they had my favorite drink - Calpico, original flavor. When I was a boy in Japan, it was only sold as a concentrated syrup that you would mix with water, milk, or soda pop (called ‘Calpis’ in Japan). But, even pre-mixed as it is here in the US, it’s still my favorite soft drink… #calpico #calpis #groceryoutlet

Gave this #Calpis #SilkyCola a whirl. Had never tried and was intrigued. Definitely different, not particularly bad, not great. Not my gig. While I think it is quite drinkable, there is a flavor element that is reminiscent of….hmmmm, well, do you remember being a kid and blowing bubbles with a bottle of bubble juice and a plastic bubble wand? Out of morbid curiosity did you ever take a sip of the bubble juice?
