Les élections présidentielles vont-elles être rejouées en Roumanie ? Dans une déclaration publique relayée sur les réseaux sociaux, Calin Georgescu, le candidat arrivé en tête au premier tour et qui avait été écarté du processus électoral au motif d’ingérences russes, réclame la dé-classification de toutes les réunions et de tous les documents utilisés pour justifier sa mise à l’écart et annuler un premier tour de scrutin qu’il avait remporté fin 2024.
C’est un rapport du Comité juridique de la Chambre des représentants des États‑Unis qui a remis cette question sur la table. Dans ce rapport, qui s’appuie sur des milliers de documents et communications, TikTok a déclaré ne pas avoir “trouvé, ni reçu, aucune preuve d’un réseau coordonné de 25 000 comptes associés à la campagne de M. Georgescu” comme L’Eclaireur l’expliquait ce 4 février.

Scrutin qui avait vu, sur la base de présomptions d’ingérence russe, le candidat vainqueur au premier tour, être sorti du scrutin.
C’est pourtant sur cette base, celle d’une « campagne coordonnée sur TikTok » en faveur de Călin Georgescu par les Russes que la Commission européenne avait justifié son intervention auprès des autorités roumaines. Intervention qui s’était soldée par l’annulation par la Cour constitutionnelle du premier tour de la présidentielle et le rejet de la candidature de Georgescu pour la suite du processus électoral. Et qui avait vu la victoire de Nicusor Dan, le maire centriste de Bucarest, sur la même ligne, pro-européenne, que l’ancien président Klaus Iohannis. Ligne que ne défendait pas Georgescu.
