  1. Glastonbury Tor - viewed from Cadbury/Camelot. Gives some indication of how this promontory dominates its landscape & would have been regarded as a special place, even without the tower on top.

  2. Thought I was trying some local #Chocolate while on my holiday, but it was as bland and miserable as #Cadbury has become.

Double checked the packaging and notice this too is a #Mondelez owned brand.

I wonder if locals buy this and wonder what has happened to their once beloved local treat.

Which also begs the question, did Mondelez base their recipe on one distinct corporate brand taken over or just aggregate all their conquests to find a taste equally bland and pedestrian in all markets?

  3. I used to love #Cadbury but I agree it's gone waxy and greasy.

If I'm having the calorie and fat load of chocolate I'm having something without #palmoil in it.

  4. Growing up we were always a Cadbury’s family. My grandfather worked over at the factory in Bournville, we had access to the factory store.

Easter eggs as a kid inevitably came primarily from them.

I don’t eat a *huge* amount of chocolate today for comparison, but was Cadbury’s chocolate *always* this sweet?

Seriously. I’ve got a Cadbury’s Easter Egg here. (I remember these coming in two halves as a kid, not melded together as a single shape, but, whatever). Approaching this as an adult, the overwhelming flavour I’m getting here is not chocolate.

It’s just sugar. An aftertaste of sugar.

    Was this always the case?

Has my sense of taste just *changed* over the years?

Has the general recipe of Cadbury’s chocolate changed?

I don’t know. But this is disappointing sickly.

  5. Its #Easter coming soon, and while I don't go in for any of the #religious stuff, I do mark the return of easter candy. In particular #LauraSecord eggs.

For the non-#Canadians, these are like #Cadbury #CreamEggs except 10x better and they come in adult sizes.

The default size is 300g, so roughly 2/3 of a pound. Keep em in the fridge you can slice like a cake. Which is good cause you can only have a bit before you turn diabetic.
