The #BurkeFamily are serial disruptors. They created huge headaches for a school, a university, a solicitors firm, the bar council, & many others. They abuse the law as a wepon against others, but reject rulings against them. They have created costs of millions.
In the #IrishTimes, Rev John Deane-O’Keeffe rightly singles out the malign role of the mother #MartinaBurke. But then he perversely insists that #BurkesOfCastlebar deserve kindness. Wrong: they deserve prison.

If one legal scam fails, they just try another. Their victims are left carrying huge legal costs, over €600k in each case, and huge amounts of management time. But the scammers just try again & again.
Each case was simple, & should have been settled well within a year. Instead, scammers are allowed to wage a #WarOfAttrition.
The families are #VexatiousLitigants. The courts should stop them.
Rose & Chris Murray are in a 20-year legal battle with #MeathCountyCouncil. Council costs exceed €680,000.
In 2006, the Murrays were refused #PlanningPermission for a bungalow near #Navan.
In 2007 they built a house 2X the size, without permission. It was finally demolished in March 2026.
The Murrays never had a case. They deliberately ignored the law, & like the #BurkeFamily they are abusing the courts. #IrishLaw must stop both farces.

A pointless appeal by #MartinaBurke & #AmmiBurke, mother & sister of transphobic ex-teacher #EnochBurke. The 2 women had shouted down a court hearing for the umpteenth time, had been warned to desist, & were jailed for a fortnight.
The appeal was a risible claim that they hadn't disrupted a court, 'cos no justice was done. Judges dismissed this acidically, but this was always just a publicity stunt.

#WilsonsHospital school has security guards costing over €1,000 per week. In September, Burke had been staying outside the school gates. Then he began sneaking in during the guard's break, and repeatedly entered the buildings.

When school term began at #WilsonsHospital in late August, the ex-teacher resumed his regular #trespass. The school has tried other measures to keep him out, but today began the process of getting Enoch jailed. It will almost certainly succeed.
Burke has served over 730 days in prison since 2022, all solely for his repeated trespassing.

This is the old, familiar #BurkeFamily method, going back at least a decade. Run howling to court to try to stop any hearing that has power to find against The Burke. Then disrupt the court, and refuse to obey court orders. Then lie loudly and often about what happened. Repeat.

The #BurkeFamily does own a house. A large moden bungalow on the edge of Casrlebar. Probably worth the sharp end of €1million.
If the parents can be made jointly liable, the debt can be paid. But making them liable will not be straightforward.

For nearly 4 years, the #BurkeFamily has made the courts a circus. No more, except for the enforcement of costs of -~€600,000 which Burke owes to the school's insurers. Burke also owes ~€200,000 in fines for trespass.
#EnochBurke appears to be about to get what he wanted: disciplinary appeal concluded against him, without hearing his case.
Instead of presenting his case, the #transphobic extremist ex-teacher today chose his old game of shouting down the meeting until he was removed.
Since there was no appeal to assess, the appeal will be dismissed. Tthe #BurkeFamily will lie and lie and yell "unfair", but the legal battle will be over. Burke's salary will stop.

Judges have repeatedly told #EnochBurke that he holds the key to his own prison cell, and may leave prison whenever he promises to stop trespassing. The judges have repeatedly tell him that he can say whatever he wants to say, but that he must not trespass.

The two women were jailed for two weeks for their #ContemptOfCourt on 20th February. It was latest incident in a long line of court disruptions by the Burkes.

Justice Brian Cregan called for an end to the Burke “family circus”. He intends to formally complain to the Law Society about solicitor Ammi Burke; and that Ammi, Martina & Isaac Burke may only attend future court hearings remotely.
Jailed #transphobic teacher #EnochBurke has been told of resignations from a disciplinary appeal panel convened to hear his appeal against his 2003 dismissal from #WilsonsHospital School. As a result, the panel can no longer deal with Burke’s appeal, the letter stated.
