Si vous voulez un peu de lecture sur les images patrimoniales pendant les fêtes, voici mon premier billet "Focus" approfondissant une partie du "Recueil de bonnes pratiques pour la diffusion en ligne des images patrimoniales", publié en novembre 2024 (chapitre 2, p. 20).
Il s'agit d'une synthèse sur les images en gigapixels, qui représentent la meilleure qualité d'image patrimoniale existante, avec leurs avantages et leurs limites.

#OTD Jan #Brueghel the Elder, #Flemish #Flower #Painter & #Landscape #Artist, died.He believed flowers should be painted Alla Prima (w/ live specimens) & he was among the 1st to paint #Garland-s for religious figures.
A friend of #Rubens, Jan's nicknames of "#Velvet" or "#Flower" referred to his delicate brushwork.
He wrote Cardinal Federico Borromeo about his #Painting writing,
"Your excellency must judge for himself [whether] the flowers... surpass #Gold &
#Jewels." -

Seasonally appropriate here’s one of my favourite paintings by Dundee artist James McIntosh Patrick, Winter in Angus. Very Brueghel like in feel I think.
