"Baby (You've Got What It Takes)" is a song written by #ClydeOtis and Murray Stein. Originally titled "You've Got What It Takes", the song was first recorded by #BrookBenton's sister, Dorothy Pay, in 1958, as the #Bside of her single "Strollin' with My Baby" on #Mercury 71277. In August 1959, Brook Benton partnered with #DinahWashington to record the song as "Baby (You've Got What It Takes)". Their version, released in January 1960.

"A Lover's Question" is a 1958 #Pop, #RAndB hit for #ClydeMcPhatter. The single was written by #BrookBenton and Jimmy T. Williams and was #ClydeMcPhatter's most successful #Pop and #RAndB release. The bass singer is Noah Hopkins. "A Lover's Question" made it to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was #1 for one week on the R&B chart.

"Boll Weevil" is a traditional #blues song, also known by similar titles such as "Boweavil" or "Boll Weevil Blues". Many songs about the #bollWeevil were recorded by blues musicians during the 1920s through the 1940s. However, a rendition by #LeadBelly recorded in 1934 by folklorist #AlanLomax led to it becoming well known. A 1961 adaptation by #BrookBenton became a pop hit, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Fats Domino's "Bo Weevil" is a different song.
