Remind me again, which party appointed the supreme court justices that decided Citizens United and McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission? These cases opened the flood gates to money in politics, and it was very much a one party job.
Splitting the progressive coalition in 2024 would be a gift to Fascism & the GOP. Democracy is in a precarious state, let's not extinguish it because the Democrats are not perfect.

@Radical_EgoCom That would only be true if the Democrats had some sort untapped magical power to pass significant legislation WITHOUT:
1. Holding the House, Senate, and Presidency simultaneously
2. AND, a super-majority in the SenateLast time that super-majority happened was 2009, for just 5 months. The Democrats used that time to expand Medicaid to EVERY low income American, and numerous other health care reforms.More than 21 million got health care thanks to the expansion.

Pro-Tip: Anytime you see a headline about a bill dying/passing "in Congress," always think to yourself:
That’s a Both Sides framing.
The ERA bill did not fail in the Senate today, it was filibustered by the Republicans. The Framing that it failed in the Senate is a way to distribute the failure to Both Sides.
The hostage note that K-Mac passed today is another one; not one Democrat voted for it, so the Republicans passed that bill, not The House.

@danwentzel The GOP has no policies that help people, so they have embraced scapegoating as a way of garnering support from their base. The same people who want to ban drag queen story hours are the same people who want to take away healthcare, take away reproductive choice, and pour gasoline on the climate fire.
Focusing on LBGTQ does not harm the other progressive causes, we all have the same opponent.
