Seems that #Reddit broke certain 3rd party applications yesterday with another update to their #API Rules. This update targets User-Agent strings and blocks any string which they deem "not descriptive".
Personally, I've been using #BoostforReddit for years, but apparently the User Agent isn't "descriptive" enough, so it now receives 403 errors. Unfortunately, the dev abandoned the app, but it appears that it's possible to patch the app via ReVanced.
Now I need to decide whether it's worth trying to patch an unmaintained app or if I should just move on to a new client app.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a third party Reddit app that's still maintained?
(And yes, I also use Lemmy, but it seems like Reddit has the majority of useful, searchable info on the internet these days.) -

I will now look for an alternative to Reddit.
