And re weird sorting, did you know that "sausage" is sorted weirdly in Johnson's dictionary? That no doubt explains why it appears in that #Blackadder the 3rd episode. In my copy the word order is Savoury / Savoy / Saur / Sausage / Saw. He sorts as if u and v are the same letter. The whole SAU/SAV section is a hopeless muddle to modern eyes.

It is great to see Elizabeth Blackadder’s works getting attention south of the border. She was a great artist (died about 13 years ago). And her work is widely available at not excruciatingly awful prices. We have two of her works, admired at every passing of our walls (and it only took the odd month of fasting to pay for them - the dug and the cats were excused). Many wonderful images and not cats!
