My full list of achievements for the #bjjglobetrotters Spring camp. I didn't remotely hit the highest beer count - a Brit killed us all with *80* during the week. 😬

Drunken karaoke for the last night at the spring camp.

Thanks to @apzpins and @quester I'm only one of two people who has completed this camp quest! All of my jokes are bad. 💪

Day 2 of #bjj in #estonia

Choking people and getting choked. 💪 Great group of people.

Best achievement at the #bjjglobetrotters camp in #estonia this year.

One of my friends decided to come along as a travel buddy for my trip to Tallinn/Helsinki next year. :blobcatrainbow: We'll both be attending the #bjjglobetrotters camp. My family wants me to travel back later in the summer so they can also go. 🇪🇪 🇫🇮

There have been lots of promotions at @ArtemisBJJ recently. That is often the case in March, as I use the Bristol Open as a final deadline for anybody who wants to get in one last comp before their next belt. 🌈

This one was my favourite: her reaction was so genuine, surprised and filled with glee, it cheered my cold, cold heart! 🤩

@phuzzy Yep, still the best #BJJGlobetrotters vid. I have Chris teaching again at the next Artemis BJJ Camp in München on the 7th/8th Oct 2023, if you can get to Germany? 😁

I'm looking forward to trying these closed guard passing tweaks from Greg Wood, which he showed me at the recent #BJJGlobetrotters Winter Camp:

@phuzzy @MattiePav Yeah, Priit and Chris have a bunch of useful stuff. Especially their additions to the running escape.

First time I saw that was on an old Saulo Ribeiro DVD (2007/2008, IIRC?) It's saved my arse in #BJJ so many times since then. 🖖

I still haven't totally worked out what Priit calls grilled chicken, even though that's been a fair few years now too (since I first trained with Priit at a 2017 #bjjglobetrotters camp), but that's been helpful for open guard.

@haystack Ha, yeah, CTRL Industries has been around for a while. I've never tried a CTRL gi, but it's a great brand name, especially given how many IT folks train #BJJ.

My personal fave brand has long been Fenom Kimonos, I also like the travel gi from #BJJGlobetrotters.

@tom Yeah, I get annoyed at how non-descriptive #BJJ terminology can often be, so I try to find sensible alternatives if possible. Though I can't take credit for spiralhook as the new name for #DLR: my #bjjglobetrotters friend Jorgen Matsi came up with that one. 😁

IIRC, this was the first #kneebar setup I ever learned, from Jeff Knight (a #BJJ black belt who trained under Danaher before the King of Slow Motion Talking got famous) at one of the early #BJJGlobetrotters camps in Heidelberg.

As much as I dislike leglocks, kneebars are the ones I feel most comfortable with. I find the mechanics less scary. 😉

@oss Yeah, Jon Thomas has good stuff up online. I mostly rely on Grapplers Guide and #BJJGlobetrotters for vids. Used to love BJJ Library, sad that went under (especially as I got a free lifetime membership for reviewing it, back in my #BJJ journalist days 😉).

I stopped paying attention to Keenan after he started blathering anti-vax nonsense, which was unfortunate.

Is anybody here training #bjj or are here by any chance fellow #bjjglobetrotters ?
