[P] The point is is that if people are going ooey-gooey over a Mr. Good Guy in corporate? That person's going to be an idiot at best, but often an exploitative parasite at worst. AA is no different than AAA for the most part, and it's thanks to the kinds of Dark Triad sociopaths and narcissists who invariably staff corporate/executive positions. The only way to avoid that is to not have those positions.

I'm the kind of autism that loves patterns, and I see AAA's failures being replicated in AA. I feel like the best advice I can give to aspiring devs is: make smaller games of the sort you like, and skip hiring out-of-touch corporate stooges. I know you likely can't afford their wages anyway, but still.

[P] What corporate stooges don't realise is that when newer hardware fails, the most sensible option for anyone looking to replace it is older and second-hand. I mean, look at what happened with the Switch 2, Gen Z rejected it and bought 3DS's en masse, causing 3DS prices to skyrocket. But at least 3DS games aren't $80. Gen Z will be the indie generation, playing on older hardware. AAA is dead, AA is dying.

[P] I'm just sick of the hypocrisy. It's like with Chris Avellone and sexpestery, charismatic people can get away with some shit and neurotypicals will kowtow and chant "We obey, maaaaaster." It's kinda gross. The thing is, though? Charisma won't protect an idiot from their own stupid decisions. Vincke will continue to use AI and chase fidelity even though Gen Z has been priced out of fidelity. So Larian will collapse.

[P] It irritates me. Vincke is equal to Molyneux, so where's Rock, Paper, Spineless asking him if he's a pathological liar? RPS only ever went after the easy targets, so this doesn't surprise me. Vincke now wants to use AI so he can fire people, just like every corporate stooge. Oh, he pwomises he won't anymowe after being called out on it, but if you b3lieve that then I have a bridge to sell you—like new, barely used.

[P] This has been their history for so long. Why Peter Molyneux isn't tolerated but Sven Vincke is... i honestly can't say I don't know why. It's cult of personality. Molyneux was never charismatic, and charismatic people can get away with some shit. I know there's still copium that BGIII will get a special edition, but... it won't. They're already working on their new game, and Vincke just gets away with it.

[P] Vincke has a history of overpromising, underdelivering, then trying to fix his shit with special editions that goes back to Divinity II. The last conplete game Larian made was Beyond Divinity. BG3 won't be getting a special edition though as he decided he's "done with D&D," so it'll be left in half-baked limbo with a story that makes no sense. (As many of the threads from the Daisy storyline were lazily left in.)
