Correction? On further tests, the PDF export failure with North skewed may still be an issue, caused by the Layout feature. Removing the print layout specs allows for rotated geospatial PDFs, like this one of the #Bengies drive-in, where all directions are relative to "the giant outdoor screen."
Compass rose is missing in this export, though visible in #Qgis console. Oh well.

Shoot, I got the email about the Tuesday throw back night at the #Bengies but didn't make it last night. (We have seen North by Northwest on their awesomely huge screen though).
