@sharongascoigne lovely! We’ve been to #Bembridge sailing a few times. Unfortunately UK customs make it almost impossible to go there again bc we have our dog which we imported from Yorkshire ourselves, with us now. We love the UK so much…#Solent #isleofwight 😭😭

It's a rainy day here on the #IsleofWight , not that I'm complaining as we need the rain.
This photo was taken (by my husband not me) on Sunday afternoon when the weather was somewhat better.
This is slightly more off the beaten track than some of our more popular beaches at #Bembridge. You can see the Lifeboat Station in the distance.

Last night's full moon as it rose over Bembridge Lifeboat Station.
It was lovely and calm down on the beach as we watched the #moon emerge from the low cloud. This photo taken by my husband does it far more justice than my wobbly video that I posted last night!

Today I have been working on our new #musical about #MollyDowner, the #Witch of #Bembridge. This project has been consuming me, my heart is heavy and I’ve been teary; this story is emotionally draining, but wonderful.
After a life of heartbreak and betrayal, someone showed her tenderness and love in her last moments, I know this because when researching I came upon these lines that were written in 1844 by E. Hartnall. "...as if she [Molly] had died in her bed and received from friendly hands the last sad offices charitable love renders to the remains of the object of its affection." — it fills my heart with sadness and hope all at once.

One of my favourite #tombs on the #IsleofWight. They say this unambiguous stone markems the site of Molly Downer, the #Witch of #Bembridge.
Her story is heartbreaking, filled with loss and betrayal; the final straw being when her greatest love Harriet turned on her after marrying a man.
Molly left heart broken and constantly harassed by Harriet, cursed her lost love.
Many think she was buried in an unmarked grave in Brading Church yard, but the truth is she was spirited away #TombTuesday
