So much for the weather office, #BDBEATSTO dropped by the blustery scene mid first set and said it was our call, and we did that set for a few brave souls and another half set before wind added rain 😔

But #allangelsjazzband WILL return to #TheDanforth July 13 afternoon at #carrotcommons

A heads up for #jazzintoronto folks along #thedanforth this evening as #AllAngelsJazzBand hits the #BDBEATSTO tonight, setting up 6-9pm in front of Sidebar, at 161 Danforth.

Headed out to #CarrotCommon in a bit for our last #BDBEATSTO show 1-4pm today, which means @allangels will be playing opposite the CNE Airshow…

Our thanks to the #BloorAnnexBIA for inviting #AllAngelsJazzBand to their community stage today! We had us one wang dang doodle of a mid day show! The weather was PERFECT (since changed) and the lingering pedestrians were very gracious.

Y'know, I bet that stage could be a real community spot for a regular thursday evening #hotjazz #swing thing, like Gabriel&Gary last year at #AlexanderTheGreatParkette on Danforth.

I thought of making an #AllAngelsJazzBand account at jazztodon, but then, do I really want to be a PR department? Is it more fun to exist on this new media as only a #hashtag? You see, here, in Fediverse, folks SUBSCRIBE to a tag, it becomes an open message board of fans and band members, should there be any, here, one does hold hope, perhaps, someday…

By lucky accident, #BDBEATSTO accepted a hashtag link as "our official website" on their event page. It would have been a tag link to mstdn.ca

#AllAngelsJazzBand will be back for a reprise performance at #BDBEATSTO on Thursday, July 11, 6-9pm back at the previous location by special request, roughly 154 Danforth because street music is what summer evenings are for!

Also at the #EmmetRay Wednesday, July 3, 9-11:30 for folks who like to be indoors 😊

It was standing on tables sort of jazz nights on the street on #theDanforth tonight, #allangelsjazzband backing up the inimitable #RudyRay — weather couldn't have been better, thanks to anyone who gathered and even those that step-dance by, and also to #BDBEATSTO for supporting community music!

This just in: the #AllAngelsJazzBand will be live at #Toronto's #EmmetRay 9pm-11:30pm on Thursday July 3rd!

(we're also playing June 27 at the Dufferin Grove Organic Farmer's Market 3pm-7pm, and back on Danforth by special request for the #BDBEATSTO on July 11, and why are all these gigs on Thursdays??)

I don't know if this is THE first, but I'm happy to see the #BDBEATSTO webpage lists the link for the #AllAngelsJazzBand as a #Fediverse hashtag url! That's got to be some kind of landmark move into mainstream consciousness 😁

Despite the threat of rain (pelting down now in spurts) our #AllAngelsJazzBand #BDBEATSTO show was a wonderful success! We were joined by Rudy Ray on coronet, Gabriel Kerekes made the 2nd set — clarinet-on-skates meant we HAD to play Petit Fleur! Also Geoffrey Allen Bruce on washboard+, with Chris Kettlewell on upright, and Matt Smith blowin' dat horn 😁 So big thanks to everyone who paused to listen, and of course the B-D BIA

Local restaurateur told us his Alabama patron said "just like home" 😊

#toronto has hot jazz street-side perking by the Black Swan on Danforth 6-9 tonight! Be there or be square!
