  1. Just created a new general repository for City of Baltimore #QuartoPub templates github.com/city-of-baltimore/q

The only template in there now is the LaTeX PDF template I used for the #BaltimorePlanning CIP report planning.baltimorecity.gov/sit

My code is never perfect but I'm doing my best to keep it public and open source!

  2. This is becoming a weird civic recurring occasion for me: delivering an welcoming presentation on the history of Baltimore's street for the Central Maryland Transportation Alliance #Transportation101 class.

Slides are here for the curious: docs.google.com/presentation/d

I've done this talk at least once a year and some years twice for the past 5 years! #T101 #BaltimorePlanning

  3. It isn't the most elegant thing in the world but I finished migrating (almost) all my code for developing the city's CIP Report into a reproducible {targets} pipeline.

Still plenty to do but I feel like I'm nearing the end of a 5-month marathon.

  4. I've resurrected a neglected #RStats package to publish this data (and hopefully more soon) elipousson.github.io/baltimore

I also published a Baltimore City public entity reference that I made + find super useful elipousson.github.io/baltimore

  5. Spent too much time this evening on updates to my city and regional plan inventory resource airtable.com/appC0OOaNJtKU6iHz

I've tracked down reference info on 30+ more plans (adding to a 350+ total) in the past couple weeks and added links to a few park plans that weren't online previously.

  6. The structure for this Airtable base is taken from the index of Baltimore City plans I started last month airtable.com/shrIb0577rFcNI6vj

That one has since been expanded to include regional plans from the Baltimore Metropolitan Council + community/transportation plans from Baltimore County.

  7. Started a list of statewide plans from Maryland agencies airtable.com/shr9pTAi88CopobD1

So much work goes into planning documents but they are too often forgotten by everyone involved (except the maybe the regulators) as soon as they're done. Curious how we can better see plans in context + keep the current plans top of mind. #MarylandPlanning #BaltimorePlanning

  8. The next is a collection of all of the community plans, urban renewal plans, and park plans posted to the Department of Planning website with new metadata on consultants, year adopted, etc. airtable.com/shrIb0577rFcNI6vj #OpenBaltimore #BaltimorePlanning #Baltimore #OpenData
