150 hours into Persona 5 Royal, still haven’t cleared the game once.
Why? For some reason it took a long ass time for this game to click with me.
First attempt: quit after 10 hours. Beat Persona 4 Golden after this attempt and had fun with it. Had a hard time getting into the turn based fights.
Second attempt: quit 75 (!) hours in, at the start of the Shido palace. I was using a guide, and didn’t build up understanding of the palaces and the puzzles. It was a dumb decision to follow a guide.
Current attempt: going well! No guide, finally understanding the battle mechanics and Persona fusion. Figuring out the puzzles myself, looking up an answer only if I get stuck for too long and cannot be arsed to look around more.
I took my time, alright 😅
Quite sure I will finish the game this time!! -
