I am not sure I am following you.Of course, there have always been vonnections between #AsiaMinor and #Asua proper, too.
The way #Sogdia changed hands repeatedly since the times of #Cyrus the Great are a prime example of that*, this does not weaken the argument that there are thousands of years of joint cultural exchanges (and armed conflicts) between #AsiaMinor and #Europe.
