*GTA activation detected via simple electrophoresis (8kb band). Selective targeting of packaging via presence of ncRNA, role unknown. Regions tend to be away from termini&origin of the genomes as well. Possible role in protection against DNA damage?

It's happening again. I'll be presenting 2025's sequencing data focusing on Haloarchaeal methylation patterns, comparing outputs between Pacbio and ONT platforms at #ASMicrobe2026.
What do you think - microbial mechanism discovery or applied & environmental microbiology track?
Also kind of crazy how much work's been done so far with warehouse work money, though it was a long and grueling process.
