    @ewanbirney @andganna we created #arvados to help orgs with biomedical data-management and analyses as well as avoid bespoke toolsets / infrastructure.♥️

    Arvados is 100% Free and Open Source Software with commercial support subscriptions available from my employer.

    Ideally several orgs -- all interoperating around #GA4GH standards -- could collaborate on a meaningful project.

    Would love to see Arvados move out of pharma to broader adoption.

But in return, it transpires that the vast majority of these commercial deployments fail to contribute financially to the Matrix Foundation - whether by donating directly or supporting indirectly by working with Element, who fund the vast majority of core Matrix development today." 💔

    Feeling this so hard working on #Arvados #PersonalGenomeProject as well as #FOSS and #FreeKnowledge generally.

    Sustainability for #fedi (broadly) is key!

    @adamhjk @nova @jbeda it amuses me that I have not posted much at all about #arvados project -- which I love and I helped to found -- because I make a living from working on it. 💔♥️
