PV29 Perylene Violet... it was the most fun study for me so far. The pigment had a great value of ranges and combined with PG36 created a range of grey to browns and a gorgeous deep forest green.
The mixes in general were so eye catching and gorgeous.... It will find more spots on my palettes from now on for sure.Real time video of this mountainscape is available for Patreons.

Next color to look into in our study is Perylene Violet with the pigment PV29.
Perylenes belong to my favorites as they have nice values, are transparent and just super pretty.
Perylene Violet blew me away in the monochromatic painting.

Tested laminating watercolours and how they hold up to light.
There is a full blog post for anyone interested with scans, link in bio.Summary: laminating won't destroy your painting, it will look fine, great for bookmarks, but it does not protect your art from fading if you use fugitive colours.
In the watercolour database you can look up how your colours could change with time: https://sunandcolors.com/ there have been many additions lately.
Have fun!
