Pep Guardiola has always been an admirer of Alex Scott. Described the midfielder as “an unbelievable player” after the then 19-year-old’s performance in Bristol City’s FA Cup loss to Guardiola’s Manchester City three years ago. Even more of an admirer now. Outstanding in Bournemouth’s win over Arsenal, passing and scoring. #ARSBOU

Viktor Gyokeres still gets questioned, even though he’s now got 12 PL goals in 30 games this season (18 all comps) while adapting to a new team, and Arsenal players adapting to him. And against a good Bournemouth defence today.
Still gets questioned even though his character not in question: never hides, never stops showing for the ball, also looking to run in behind. Takes responsibility, and those penalties of his are hard, fast, well-placed and rarely stoppable (4/43). Gyokeres has occasional quiet games, but never lacks effort. Arsenal need to look to get him in behind more. #ARSBOU

Just more wildly corrupt officiating from PGMOL to try and help Arsenal to a title. No way that’s given as a penalty for any other team. Absolute mockery.

Arsenal had won all eight of their home games against Bournemouth in all competitions, until now.
Declan Rice gave the home side the lead, but two goals in eight minutes from Dean Huijsen and Evanilson saw Bournemouth come back from behind at the Emirates.
Arsenal have now failed to win 10 games where they were ahead for the first time in a single season.

Oof, Arsenal have been robbed by VAR there. Clear handball (well, elbow) from Evanilson for the goal (and it wasn't "handball in the build-up", it was "he scored with his elbow"!) Also several Bournemouth players should have had cards for their WWE approach to tackling. Also also Tavernier just kicked the ball away to stop a quick free kick ... without the mandatory yellow.
Easy to see why Arsenal fans believe PGMOL have a vendetta against the team with decisions like this.

#AFC deserved winners, relentless, resilient, Rice outstanding, Havertz, Odegaard and Saliba superb, keeping up pressure on #MCFC. Inevitable debate about decisions (again). #AFCB have every right to be frustrated by two decisions that went against them. Havertz cleverly dragged his foot, initiated contact, went down, cynical, ref gave pen. Bournemouth could reflect on PGMOL Webb’s observation this week that “we’ve set quite a high threshold for penalising contact all over the field really, but also in the penalty area…not every single contact is a foul”.
As for Solanke on Raya, it’s innocuous. (Not a gk situation but Joelinton on Gabriel at SJP was far more contact and not given). If that Solanke challenge is a foul, then the game’s going to stop incessantly. But Bournemouth could have been down to 10 early on with Christie foot up on Saka. Yellow at the very least. VAR here to stay etc, works in CL and tournaments, but PL officiating levels need improving. #ARSBOU
