I keep hearing arguments from some in #ArdmoreOK that the city should have saved the old Colvert house on 12th Aveneue Northwest.

But the funny part is that I see no indication that the city ever had control of the property, which was sold by a family trust to a developer last year.

About 30 people showed up in downtown #ArdmoreOK today for a demonstration in support of the local Mexican-American population.

Exactly 2 counter-protesters showed up and left after about 15 minutes. Turns out one of their coworkers was among the larger group.

National reporting shows a cloud-based educational service provider was the target of a data breach in December 2024.

The #PlainviewSchool board of education in #ArdmoreOK has an agenda item for tonight's meeting regarding a payment to that provider, #PowerSchool.

@courtcan @straphanger Southern #Oklahoma is similar. We have a beautiful regional park in #ArdmoreOK with miles of foot/bike trails that pass right in front of the middle and high schools...all inaccessible to anybody in town without a car.

My time in #Cleveland #Ohio was much different. Everything was so walkable, including multiple bus lines and a light rail station.

Will #ArdmoreOK city hall be forthcoming about what's happening with the police chief? He's barely a year on the job.

Considering cops are the only people tasked with taking away the rights of individuals, it's imperative that we trust those in law enforcement and hold them to a much higher standard than other city employees.
