Spotted a Nazi sign at a major intersection in #ArdmoreOK this morning and taught my kids an important lesson in spring cleaning and human rights.

#ArdmoreOK has officially removed the "interim" from the #police chief's title.
David Houser was mysteriously fired from his last job in Durant in 2022 before being selected to replace the former Ardmore police chief in 2023 after that one was mysteriously fired.
"One of the things I'd like to continue to do here is take care of our officers,” Houser told #KXII after being sworn in. “In order to maintain trust and relationships, that builds upon transparency and accountability."

Since none of y'all likely get to watch #texoma broadcast news, let me tell you #KXII broke a story about another alleged speeding violation by #CarterCountyOK Sheriff Chris Bryant.
The station obtained bodycam footage from an #ArdmoreOK police stop a few days ago, I'm still waiting on the full story to go on their website.

I'm often critical of understaffed and underfunded #local #news orgs, but credit where it's due:
#NPR affiliate #KCCU in #LawtonOK is always extremely responsive to my phone calls.
Whether repeater issues in #ArdmoreOK summers or goofy playout hangups for recent evening weather updates, you can tell someone always does something when they find out about a problem.

There is a regular stream of fatal crash stories from the stretch of #I35 between #ArdmoreOK #Oklahoma and #Texas. It's a wide-open stretch of freeway with tons of visibility and often light traffic.
All I can figure is that some just can't resist the urge to drive dangerously fast?
