Here’s a photo I took today of a timber transport at the ferry dock. The picture was captured on Houtskari Island, which is part of the world’s largest archipelago by the number of islands. Despite their beauty, even these northern islands are not spared from clear-cutting and the exploitation of nature.

American mink I photographed a couple of winters ago. It was sad to see this #invasivespecies staying near a nesting island favoured by #birds. During the summer bird nesting season, I never managed to see this mink again.

It seemed contradictory to see a cute animal playing on a snow while knowing how much damage it can cause.
