Had a conversation on discord where I recommended when reading Wheel of Time to just read 1-5 then skip to 12–14. Guy was really upset about that, thinking I ruined the experience.

Eh, I enjoyed myself, and got a satisfying conclusion to a series I had once loved and stopped when I got frustrated in the middle.

I’ll be honest, I kinda wish I could tell people to skip book 1, but it’s kinda important if weak.

I've spent the last week listening to Trench Crusade lore and podcasts, thinking about painting my first Heretical warband, thinking about what unholy weapons I'll give them, thinking about making some nice heretical terrain, and listening to Rotting Christ's back catalogue. Then at lunchtime a guy stops me in the street and tells me "Jesus loves you" while trying to give me a leaflet.
