Für die unter euch, die #Longsee #COVID Tests von #Altruan nutzen: Habt ihr auch Probleme mit denen aus Lot DK01240717K, Produktionsdatum 2024.07.17, Ablaufdatum 2026.07.16? Bei uns wird der Kontrollstrich nur seeeeeehr langsam rot, wenn überhaupt (heute schon einen kompletten Ausfall gehabt). Gestern zwei negative Tests gehabt, obwohl vorgestern noch massiv Viruslast und deutlich positivem Pluslife. Irgendwas ist mit der Testcharge nicht ok...
Hab jetzt erstmal Newgene geordert.

Is it no longer possible to purchase Pluslife COVID tests in the USA? I know they were never FDA approved, but now when I visit Altruan's website, instead of a "buy" button, all of their products say "Not authorized for sale in USA".

They let me spend a lot of money on their machines already, it'll be very annoying if I can't replenish tests.
Guess I'll try a VPN? But won't they notice me shipping to a US address?

Does anyone know WHY the FDA hasn't approved the Pluslife system for at-home molecular covid tests? Is it in the process of getting authorization, or was it actually denied authorization?

Our stock of rapid #COVID tests¹ is finally nearly used up, time to replenish.
We considered the #Altruan #PlusLife reader and tests, but it's sufficiently expensive that I don't think it's justifiable unless you need to run tests extremely frequently.²
Furthermore, it turns out that you can order bulk rapid tests from https://altruan.com/ that, even with the cost of shipping to the U.S., cost *less than $2 per test*.³ This is what we ended up deciding to do. Check it out!
