I still use the Almquist shells for scripts. Having none of the heavyweight interactive and extensions stuff to initialize is a definite advantage, as Debian/Ubuntu found out years ago.
I am glad that yet another person has learned of the #WatanabeShell .
Line editing, via libedit, and history work in the BSD flavours of the #AlmquistShell, by the way. Debian simply builds it with editing and history disabled.
