Every summer, hubby and I go out to a State Rec Area that's about 40 miles from our home to ride/walk on the beach. It's never, ever crowded and has my favorite little beach cabin.

Hubby and I will be here in a couple of weeks...Hatcher Pass near Palmer, Alaska, is home to a ton of places to explore like the old Independence Mine. Can't wait! It's been a few years since we visited.

So, hubby and I hiked the Upper Kenai River Trail. The views, sounds and vistas did not disappoint! It was a beautiful sunny day with temps in the low 60s.
