Today I was lucky enough to demo a multiline Braille display called the Cadence. Apparently they were at #ACB2025 but I missed it, probably because the Monarch took up all the air in the multiline display room. The Cadence had some interesting features dealing with graphics. It showed a fireworks display in real time tactilely, among other things. For anyone intrigued their website is www.gotouchable.com. #BlindTech #A11Y

@Bruce I need to get serious about getting familiar with my Envision glasses. My bride and I both bought pairs around the time our big move was ramping up, and that took all my emotional energy at the time. It crossed my mind to take them with me to #ACB2025 last month as I could have probably gotten some pointers there, but it didn’t happen. Glad to know there is competition in the market, though, that’s never a bad thing.

Thanks to all who posted convention details and descriptions of their experiences from #ACB2025 I haven't been to an ACB Convention in a number of years and I really missed being in Dallas this year. Attending virtually was good, just not quite the same as being there. For those who were at the banquet, did you know ACB Media broadcast like thirty minutes of you guys eating? Wicked is also one of five films nominated for an Audio Description People’s Choice Award at the 2025 AD Awards Gala! The theme of #ACB2025 is definitely that members need to be educated on processes, procedures, costs, etc, so we can make decisions based on factual concrete info. Hopefully this will be improved beyond #ACB2025 but #ACB2026 #ACB2027 #ACB2028 #ACB2029 #ACB2030

It’s nice to learn that these companies that we sometimes think are too big and don’t really think about us in the blind community actually do want to hear what we have to say and actually welcome our feedback. It’s encouraging. #ACB2025 #ACB25
