As I mentioned to @macfixer, this A1048 2003 keyboard didn't last as long as I'd expected on my desk. Clacking the keys wouldn't wake the sleeping MacBook.

Switched back to the dark Magic Keyboard (extended, #A1843 2017).

But after doing that, I stared at this #M0110 1984 and wished that I had an AppleTalk/RJ-11 adapter.

@macfixer well, two days later and switched back to the space gray aluminum extended #A1843 2017. Because waking up the MacBook Air M2 #A2941 2023 wasn’t working via this keyboard. Odd.
