I used to have this 45. This is the B-side. The A-side is the most kick-ass rendition of "La Bamba" known to man. My dad used to frequent the club in Phoenix where they were the house band, and the record was released on the club's own label. Copies of this go for a king's wage by Northern Soul collectors now. I'd love to find a copy of this original edition again. Ah well.
The main member of the band, Steve Jordan, changed his professional name to Esteban Jordan and became known as the "Jimi Hendrix of the Accordion." No accordion in this track, though. Just smoothness and sad regret.
