Anyone know what the proper way of contacting #Visa to voice such feedback is? And if it is even true to begin with that Visa doesn't provide any alternative to SMS-TAN for #3DSecure?
Kinda surprised they don't, as I can't recall the Visa from #targobank having asked for it

Lol #Zinia (#Santander) support just now told me I should have disabled #Visa #3DSecure before my phone broke and "everything is good as it is" when I asked if it was possible to put in a feature request for providing an alternative that doesn't need SMS.
And the entire rest was also a cluster fuck.

@im_vovas я не розумію навіщо це робити додатково до #3DSecure. Бо зараз жоден сайт немає такої підтримки, тому усі оплати в інтернет магазинах з гривневих карток #UkrSibBank неможливі :-(

@cai_tan well, #CurseForge could exercise more due diligence and yes they could make devs sign their binaries and only accept those as well as utilize MFA, but I guess doing what every payment processor has to do since #PSD2 & #3Dsecure is too much to ask.
It kinda conforms my bias against mod managers to some extent tho, even if that's more of a feeling when in most cases, they have good reasons to exist.

@chris @aral The only things you can't do is buy real estate in cash or rent a car with cash, as both don't want to handle cash and car rental will likely prefer to pull the entire rent + deposit and then back-transfer the deposit after returning the car...
also banks here are extremely stingy in terms of loans and actual credit cards are sparse with low limits at best...
So if your CC doesn't support #3Dsecure, #PSD2 and Chip+Pin it may not work at all...

Granted most of it is just absurd #TechDebt and shitty tacked-on solutions like #3Dsecure and #PSD2 that never solved the core issues whilst bricking enough stuff that a complete redesign would've been more useful and economically...

Da ich in der Branche arbeite wuerde mich interessieren, was das fuer Probleme sein sollten? 🤔
Prinzipiell macht das #3dsecure ja lediglich einen redirect zur Bank um sich zu authentifizieren. Einzige Probleme die ich/wir da sehen, sind Browser die sehr stark auf Privacy getrimmt sind. Sprich irgendwelche forwards, Scripte und aenhliches die unterdrueckt werden und dann versagt die Authentifizierung. Es sei denn bei der Commerzbank laeuft das ganz anders....
