I don’t know what black magic Apple has done with the iPhone front glass, but I’ve been using this iPhone 18 Pro for nearly a month with zero protection, and it still looks and feels like it came out of the box minutes ago. And I am not careful with my phone.
On my 16 Pro, I had little micro-scratches all over the front in a week or two.

Gruber has been annoyingly tone-deaf at various points over the years, but generally has had a reasonably oriented compass.
I feel like he’s sort of stepped in it this time in a way that’s an outlier even for him.

It really isn’t practical to disable JavaScript globally across the entire web. I’ve tried. Most of it breaks, often in ways that aren’t immediately obvious.
But it’s surprisingly effective to disable JavaScript on a site-by-site basis. It’s shocking how often this disables annoyances and not only *doesn’t* break the website, but leaves it even more readable.
@kagihq’s Orion browser makes this super easy.

@rmondello Have you seen cases where the password manager prompts the user to create a passkey for the domain forter[.]com?
It usually looks something like <really long hash-or-uuid>[.]cdn8[.]forter[.]com.
I've seen it a few times, but I can't recall where. I think it was during a checkout process, and the site I was on was definitely not that domain.
