    Hi #Alberta. Big day for you guys today, what with the referendum and all...

    Permit me, if you will, to offer a little advice from a Brit whose partner grew up in #YEG, and who spends some time in your province every year.

    Don't fall into the same trap as the UK did with Brexit, and vote to stick two fingers up at Westminster (Ottawa) and end up accidentally hobbling your economy. So many small businesses have failed off the back of Brexit, and you really don't want to do the same to yourselves.

    I know that the Leave argument is perhaps more exciting, because the Remain argument is "everything stays the same", but please don't be fooled into believing the hype of right wing con-men.

    Brexit was full of promises (more money for healthcare, take control of immigration, better environmental controls) and ALL of those promises have been broken, because the people who made them (a) didn't care and (b) could say anything they wanted because they wouldn't be the ones having to negotiate.

    Sure - there are things in the world that suck and are impacting your livelihoods and your quality of life/cost of living, but I'd argue that you need to look at primarily Washington as the source of those issues (diesel prices, inflation, trade wars).
