This white asparagus will be gently pan fried in butter for dinner. I also have some fennel roasting in olive oil, garlic and lemon zest; plus beetroot roasting in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Yes, a veg fest.... oh, except for the the biodynamic lamb (half) rack going into the oven shortly.

Artichoke season! Got 2 lovely fresh artichokes at the markets this morning. Prepped, microwaved, then fried in garlicky olive oil, seasoned with salt and lemon. Yum!! Messy to eat, but worth it.
