  1. @cainmark Been thinking of doing this with one of those small water guns shaped as a noodle. You can mount the big part to the bike and just pull out the extension when out in trafic. Buy some reflex tape and wrap around the handle.

Just have to remember to push it in again when going on the bike roads 🙂

  2. Watching Empire Records with my 18 year old niece and she commented how she wished things still had as much color.

    Happy Rex Manning Day!

  4. Bicycled the Root River Trail from Rushford to Lanesboro & back yesterday. Sunny day, even if a bit chilly.

2 other bicyclists. 6 people walking.

2 deer, 1 bounded across the trail in front of me.

    10 rabbits.

Lots of grey squirrels. About 8 small red squirrels, each one had a nut in their mouth and they were really fast.

2 wild turkeys. First time I'd seen that.

  5. Bicycled from Rushford to Whalan and back yesterday. Temperature was great, but good grief there were so many tiny flying bugs. They were green, so not gnats as I've known them, but so many.

  6. Bicycled from Rushford to Peterson and back on the Root River Trail. The tree behind the sign is blooming.

Let another bicyclist borrow my chain tool for his folding bike while I took a break and gazed at the water.

7 bicyclists, 4 people fishing with a small dog. On the river, 4 people in 2 canoes and 4 people in 2 kayaks.

This toot was the same place in Winter:

  7. @cainmark

My friends and I have tried to find the origin of the "Disappointment" moniker without much success.

What I can say now that I've been there is the "mountain" is pretty disappointing as such... barely visible from the lakes, no big cliff faces or knobs. Contrast this with the bluff above Rose Lake.

  12. @cainmark Yeah, the fact that #GhostReplies exist and that not everyone knows about them is definitely a complicating issue in the fedi

  13. @cainmark @daihard @carolski Yup, it's been pretty arbitrary here on Mastodon. Prior to this, there was #BikeSchool on Twitter, and here is a bit about that: lovingthebike.com/bikeschool/
Who is the presenter - it's kind of arbitrary. JeremyAI (no longer on Mastodon) decided to start BikeNite, and after a few weeks of missing it when he stopped, I decided to pick up and keep the questions going 🙂 since there seemed to be great community disccusion here. And @carolski has also hosted and others are welcome to also!

Thank you for that information! I'm on mastodon.social, but I'm usually on a third-party app, #Fedilab, which doesn't show badges, so domain verification is still important.
On that, why not verify through mastodon.social and mastodon.online instead of joinmastodon.org?
