Wenn euch der Sinn nach noch mehr Mario-Action steht, hat Nintendo heute gute Neuigkeiten: Das rasante Fußballspiel Super Mario Strikers (hierzulande auch bekannt als Mario Smash Football) wird ab 3. Juli 2025 zur „Nintendo Classics“-Bibliothek auf der Nintendo Switch 2 hinzugefügt.
Das GameCube-Original erschien ursprünglich 2005 und war das erste Sportspiel von Next Level Games für Nintendo. Für den Zugriff benötigt ihr ein aktives Nintendo Switch Online + Erweiterungspaket-Abo sowie eine Switch 2.
Offizielle Beschreibung von Nintendo:
Nach großen Erfolgen auf dem Tennis- und Golfplatz wagt sich Mario jetzt in die Welt des Fußballs. In Mario Smash Football zeigt er nun seine Ballkünste. Fantastische Fallrückzieher und Sonntagsschüsse aus 30 Metern sorgen dafür, dass Bowser und die Jungs uns mehr Spaß bereiten als Real Madrid. Und die Multiplayer-Spiele sind natürlich ein Muss. Bis zu vier Spieler können dabei mitmachen. Du musst allerdings auf Gegner aufpassen, die stachelige Panzer in deine Richtung schleudern. Und halte dich unbedingt von diesen Kettenhunden fern… Mit dem wildesten Fußball-Spektakel seit dem DFB-Pokalfinale sorgt Mario auf dem GameCube für jede Menge Spaß!
GameCube auf Switch 2: Der Anfang ist gemacht
Mario Smash Football ist das erste neue GameCube-Spiel, das nach dem Launch der Switch-2-Klassikerbibliothek hinzugefügt wird. Zum Start der Plattform waren bereits folgende Titel verfügbar:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- F-Zero GX
- Soul Calibur II
Auch Japan erhält Mario Smash Football zeitgleich am 3. Juli.
