The government is weaponising the European Presidency to drive their agenda of militarisation.
They're integrating us more and more into the US-led military alliance that is NATO.
We have to fight this. We want nothing to do with these imperial powers and their warmongering.
This is why the Triple Lock is so important, and why the government is going to try and get rid of it in a matter of weeks!
-
The same government that tries to tell you with a straight face that they support neutrality is planning to use its presidency of the European Council to boost cooperation with NATO!

"If the housing crisis ended, then their friends - the developers, the big landlords, wouldn't be able to make the sort of money they make."
We need rid of FF, FG, and their Lowry / Healy-Rae independents.
We need a movement on the streets, in our communities, to fight back against this government and these rent increases.

The government must act and give these workers the pay parity they need, and treat them as the section 39 workers that they are!
Northside Home Care Healthcare Assistants were on strike outside the Dáil yesterday with their union the IWU.
These essential workers provide care daily to about 500 people. They're forced to take action because this government and the HSE refuses to give them their basic rights and recognition as section 39 workers.

"I understand that he is seeking an injunction to prevent the publication of the Nayagam report. Can I ask if the state is contesting that and seeking to publish the report?"

Northside Home Care were on strike outside the Dáil today with their union the IWU.
Some of them have worked for 25 years and are currently on €15.04/hour, and others who are on minimum wage.
They're getting about 30% less than others doing the exact same work as them.
These essential workers provide care daily to about 500 people.
The government must take action and give them the pay parity they need, and treat them as the section 39 workers that they are.

You couldn't make it up.
Last night a landlord government rammed through a bill literally designed to makes rents skyrocket.
Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael, and Healy-Rae / Lowry independents are pushing people even deeper into poverty, egged on by the landlord lobby Independent Ireland.
This will result in even more people being forced into homelessness, and people struggling on the edge with already rip-off rents being pushed over. -
The government plans to pass their 'rip-off rent bill' today, called the 'Residential Tenancies Bill'.
The purpose of the bill is to make rents even higher, in order to "attract investment".
Another landlord bill from a landlord government.
Join the protest against this bill outside the Dáil today at 5.30pm.

The cost of living crisis is NOW.
It's why the Affordable Ireland Campaign launching today is so important.
Unless we mobilise to force change, ordinary people are going to get poorer and poorer, while the big corporations profiteer.
We mneed#AffordableIreland not #RipOffIreland

The government is 'targeting' alright. It's targeting disabled people and the poorest in our society, and making life intentionally even more difficult.
Particularly cruel cuts when the government has never had more money, €25billion+ in surplus.
It's austerity in a time of plenty. We need an #AffordableIreland, not #RipOffIreland

Why has the Attorney General's advice changed? What has changed since?
Before Christmas, the whole Dáil voted for a motion that the Occupied Territories Bill should be passed including services before the end of the day.
This government continues to water it down, and delay again.

Stop the rent hikes!
We need to get organised as communities to fight the SDCC's planned rent hikes.
We need a campaign against the rent hikes in SDCC, to ensure we don't follow the lead of Dublin City Council. The final decision is months away, but we need to begin fighting it NOW!
-
We need to stop the rent hikes in SDCC. To do that we'll need a strong campaign, to avoid going in the same direction as Dublin City Council.
We need our communities organised together to fight this!
Join the street meeting this Saturday 31st January 1pm at the Kiltalown playground.
Spread the word.

We can't wait until the next general election....
By then, we're on track to have well over 20,000 people in emergency accommodation.
We have to get organised NOW against this government on the housing crisis!
We need to reinstate the eviction ban, use the tens of thousands of vacant properties, and build social and affordable housing en-masse!

This government dances to the tune of big business as usual.
They refuses to give workers the right to work from home, while also refusing to make decent public transport to get into work!
It's simple. We need to give people the right to work from home, and invest in free, frequent, and reliable public transport.

Billionaires shouldn't exist.
Fine Fáil and Fine Gael are a government for the rich. We need rid of them, and a left government that will actually take on these fat cats.

Bus privatisation has been a disaster for us, but this government is in denial.
I got contacted every week by people who have missed or are late to school, work, interviews, etc. as a result.
We should have free, frequent, and reliable public transport - instead, we're getting more GoAhead...

Privatisation has been a disaster for our bus services, which workers and commuters are paying the price for!
Every week I get multiple emails from people reporting ghost buses, full buses passing by, and massive delays.
Are you facing the same issues on GoAhead routes??
