Why has the Attorney General's advice changed? What has changed since?
Before Christmas, the whole Dáil voted for a motion that the Occupied Territories Bill should be passed including services before the end of the day.
This government continues to water it down, and delay again.
-
No more delays. No more excuses.
A full ban on trade with the illegal settlements is the very least we should be doing.
Ireland has a proud history of resisting empire and standing up to colonialism - we must not continue the complicity that this government is happy to ignore.
📅 Debate & vote: Wednesday, 19 November, Dáil Éireann

People Before Profit are using our time in the Dáil next week to propose a joint motion with left parties to demand implementation of the Occupied Territories Bill including goods and services by Christmas.
The time for delay and watering down is over.
It's time for action.
-
It's simple. There is no legal problem.
The government doesn't want to include services in the Occupied Territories Bill because they're afraid of upsetting Trump and US multinationals.
The OTB is the bare minimum. What we need is full BDS and sanctions on genocidal Israel.

We knew the EU wasn't going to suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement. The bigger powers in the EU are the ones who continue to arm and fund this genocide. They are complicit.
Our own government wont even pass the full Occupied Territories Bill... We need to suspend all trade with the terrorist state of Israel.
-
The Irish government is too cowardly to even do the bare minimum of enacting the full Occupied Territories Bill.
All while Israel openly intensives it's genocide.

Join the vigil from 7pm tonight Monday 7th July.
It will be followed by an all night campout, finishing at 10am Tuesday by handing in all the OTB postcards to Government ministers.
Mothers Against Genocide are organising, with the support of many others!✊ -
Include services in the Occupied Territories Bill.
It is the very least we can do in the face of genocide.

After 20 months of genocide, this is what the Taoiseach has to say.
They have to be dragged to fulfill their election promise to pass the Occupied Territories Bill, but want to gut it by excluding services, which accounts for the majority of trade.
We need real action, not just words.Simon Harris said just yesterday: "it's important that every country uses every lever at its disposal."
Why can't they use a single lever they have available to them? -
