  1. @ctietze @flyingmeat Using such a cute puppy for your evil commercial purposes is just… it’s a very nice puppy. Thumbnail: succeeded.

    PS Looking at some of your old posts, is #TheArchive based on old code from #nvalt, or is it more a spiritual successor?

  2. @ctietze you really tapped into a great guiding principle with that #atomicity blog post way back when. 🤝

  3. @ctietze His book talks about testing a bit. He's also attended the #LegacyCodeRocks meetup and talked about this in the past, and how his courses recommend not using mocks. goodreads.com/book/show/260884

  4. @ctietze Weißt du was? Wenn sie ein gutes Online-Interface haben, vielleicht noch Datenexport anbieten und wirklich die Kunden in den Mittelpunkt stellen, zahle ich sehr gerne pro Transaktion eine vernünftige Summe.

    Wenn.

  5. @helge @ctietze @dasdom Was investigating a bit. Really fell in love with that project. When I randomly found it on the web I always thought it just were some nerds who invented their own language. But that they really ported a big bunch of , including nib/xib translation really is an exciting thing to me. And it even looks very well, way better than . 😉

  6. @heckj @ctietze Thanks Christian, I found Joe's library when searching for CRDT libraries with Swift support. Automerge looks great, will definitely experiment with that at some point. The Ink & Switch research prototypes built on top of Automerge look amazing #inkandswitch.

    Nowadays, I almost never use a separate terminal as I cover all my use cases with vterm/eshell inside . While vterm is good, it has some quite rough edges here and there.

    Recently, I was playing with and it was super performant, standard complaint and just felt really nice. I guess ghostel can become my goto choice, when we properly package ghostty for .

    I'm really glad to find this project, thanks to @daviwil for boosting the post 👇

  8. @js @dasdom @ctietze Currently combining @objfw with [1] over here[2]. Works well, but obviously I‘ve got to write way more C++.

    I have and really enjoyed it. Some really good advice (some of which I already follow e.g. starting with a link).

    Thank you @ctietze for taking the time to put the talk and slides together. 🙏

  13. Sorry for the delay @ctietze !
    Have recorded a short sample, but apart from being cool, I do not find it very ready just yet.. it is very slow and lacks some of the 2D functionalities... there's an option to add text on every node, but crashes on my computer, and it is quite modern... also, the labels inside the node, make it unreadable...

  17. Vielen Dank @ctietze !

  18. I‘ve read „Why & How to Distribute Your App Outside the Mac App Store“ by @ctietze and found it very helpful. I‘m even considering buying his ebook.
