You can now use Elixir 1.18 on #Exercism 🚀. Thanks to jiegillet who did the upgrade of our tooling, and the Elixir core team that was very fast to release 1.18.1 with a crucial bug fix #MyElixirStatus

I had to submit the same file to a bunch of other institutions. One of them (ELSTER) had very good form validations, it told me that it doesn't like umlauts in the filename, I removed the umlauts which also made the form submission possible on the other problematic website 🙃
People, use #Sentry or #AppSignal and fix your shit because real people are getting frustrated at the other end

EditorConfig is awesome, but I don't use it very often. Most of the time, language-specific formatters and linters, as well as my IDE's built-in features, are enough to keep a project well-formatted.
However, today, EditorConfig helped me combat my IDE's weakness 💚 https://angelika.me/2024/03/29/how-to-prevent-webstorm-from-removing-trailing-spaces-from-one-file/

2023 has been great for me, but let's not pretend like it's been all rainbows and unicorns.
In 2023, I failed in the following ways 💩:
- gained back most of the fat that I lost in Q1 2022,
- mishandled a transphobic incident at my meetup,
- did not finish the #12in23 Exercism challenge,
- got COVID twice and the common cold twice because of travel, and lost 8 weeks of social life total because of it,
- quit attending German classes because of time, money, and laziness
- read only 3 books -

Dabbling in Rust for #MechanicalMarch on #Exercism #12in23
I have to admit, every attempt at a typed language (except for TS) is pretty challenging for me 😅
