  1. #skoolie issue; hard braking after many little brake presses.
and funny noise coming from the #vacuumPump.
I had no problem diagnosing the problem. fig 1 shows the problem, a spring coming out of the top of the pump. After releasing the tension on the belt, unbolting the pump I was able to pull off the pulley.
My issue is that I saw a little rust on the shaft and corresponding rust on the pulley.

Do I need to worry about this?
Is there any tricks to getting the pulley back on the new pump?

  3. Back at it with more bus updates and very little to say about data these days.

We put up our first wall! And mounted two of the cabinets!

I learned how to do some cabinetry and made some toe kick boxes for the cabinets 😎 next we're putting in toe kick DRAWERS

Also got my first outlet box installed--inside my media cabinet/desk! Y'all won't believe how cool my WFH setup is about to be in this bus...

  4. Update on bus stuff!

Electrical is fully assembled!! Solar panels are ON the roof! The grey wire is an extension cord which is powering a power strip 🤩 and we have one cigarette lighter plug installed for charging phones on 12/24V when the inverter is off.

First camping trip in the bus this weekend will be LIT (by our bright AF lights--first photo was taken inside at night)!

Fully powered by the sun 🤪🌟🌞 100% built by yours truly

  8. @Nickittynic Most people I follow who do woodstoves in their vans or #skoolies use the Cubic mini stoves. They're very compact and have a lot of nice accessories. I had originally been looking at the Little Cod and Sardine marine woodstoves, I really like their charm - but they're way pricier than the Cubic Minis.

  13. Calling all audiophiles... looking at you @Randy_Au and @winnie

I need to replace the speakers in my bus but I know diddly squat about speakers, audio etc... would y'all be able to recommend good speakers for a lil school bus which will be a tiny house on wheels?

All I know is my stereo has a preamp and can do "4x49W BTL Max, 4x29W RMS" output, whatever that means.

  14. 1. My desk is done! The bus seriously needs cleaning out and some flooring but it’s basically move in ready-ish. Loads of little things to do. Some of which will be done on the road. 2. The #recirculating portion of the water has begun. With any luck it will be done tomorrow. But I’m not holding my breath on that. 😂 3. I got to watch a lot of #Star Trek for #Treksgiving @3goodthings #TinyHouse #TinyHome #Skoolie
