@arstechnica I went though 5 confirmations and one retry after a dark UI pattern tricked me into thinking I'd finished trying to cancel my IONOS contract after moving all my domains off. Only to find that they will automatically restart my subscription in 14 days unless I talk to someone in person to confirm. I've been waiting 5 hours for my callback so far. Cannot delete my account OR my credit card number.
Went to AmEx and put a merchant block on IONOS. #boutdamntime

@deliberately_me @blackfedi Awesome coincidence, I just watched the 1st segment of the BBC's awesome documentary about disco and a big part is himEarl Young talking about and demonstrating the percussion sound that he invented on The Love I Lost that still sits behind 90% of the dance music on the planet. Highly recommended.

I grew up on U2, so I listened with some excitement to the new Songs of Surrender that the Edge and Bono mostly did together over covid - it has it's moments, but is mostly a greatest hits unplugged triple album.
Then through some 90s R&B crate digging, found The Chimes cover of I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. It's one of those rare covers that steals a great song from it's original artist. Straight into the gospel house playlist

Read a nice article about Smokey Robinson's 3rd album earlier today (https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/quiet-storm-smokey-robinson-invented-042648335.html) and went digging for remixes of his music.
