Half time Hashtag United 0-1 Dulwich Hamlet. In an eventful first half, Dulwich suffered an early blow, a red card for defender Manny Parry, 21 minutes into his debut. However they rallied to take the lead, Luke Wanadio, returning to the club for a third spell, twisted and turned before finding the net with a low shot. Dulwich will have a tricky second half though, having used all three of their subs in the first half. #NonLeagueFootball #Isthmian #DHFC

  19. Yesterday we made it to Paris! The final 44km from Cergy was a mixed bag, started very nicely but became a bit of a slog as we entered the city and the sun got more and more intense. Reaching the Arc de Triomphe was a great moment. We then made our way down towards Eiffel Tower for some pictures but got annoyed with officials telling us to get out of the Olympics priority lanes! Finally we made our way across town to our accommodation and that was that!

  20. Really good day yesterday, doing 38km to Gisors. The old railway path briefly resumed out of Gornay but we soon left it for the Avenue Verte route to Gisors. The route was almost entirely quiet country roads, very pleasant. Daughter did brilliantly with one quite long hill. In Gisors we splurged for a nicer hotel in a country mansion just outside of town and spent a pleasant afternoon relaxing watching the Olympics

  21. Today was meant to be the easiest day of the trip, just 27km to the next town of Gournay-en-Bray. Sadly, the Avenue Verte no longer followed the old railway path and instead turned into a mix of minor roads and country roads. Tbf traffic was very light even on the wider roads. But there were a number of long climbs for daughter to negotiate and this took its toll. Gournay was another disappointing town, again a real struggle to find a decent restaurant

  22. This was the furthest daughter had cycle in a single day but she did brilliantly, only really flagging during the final few kms. Certainly helped that although we were climbing the whole day the gradient was always so gentle as to barely be noticeable.

  23. Yesterday was our first proper day of cycling and it was a beautiful 52km along an old railway line, beautifully surfaced and lots of gorgeous scenery along the way. An old station at Neufchâtel-en-Bray was converted into a lovely cafe where we stopped for crêpes. We ended the day in Forges-les-Eaux, which was disappointingly dull and the lack of good restaurants meant pizza in our hotel room.

  24. We made it to Dieppe and after a quick visit to the beach there we cycled a short way out of town to our hotel right at the beginning of the French section of the Avenue Verte. Tomorrow we have a big first day of cycling, 50km to our next stop

  25. Summer adventure begins today, 7yo daughter and I are cycling from Dieppe to Paris. Today we got up very early to take the train from London to Newhaven via Brighton and catch the 10am ferry to France. Probably the smoothest ferry boarding experience with bikes we’ve had
