We made some ice! Still much tuning and testing to do as we need to get down below -23C but it is at least cooling the plate now we have assembled it with heat transfer grease. #CloudChamber

Nat and I assembled the case and cooling plate assembly of the cloud chamber. Initially a quick dry assembly to test the fit. Everything went together but nothing got cool at all. Investigations determined the Peltier plates were just getting very hot so thermal transfer to the water block was not working. Now with a slimmer TPU frame and thermal paste applied throughout we have it cooling down the metal plate. Testing can commence! #CloudChamber #Science #OpenScience

The lighting mount I designed has printed perfectly. Really nice fit of the Daylight on a stick mini by #Vector3D too. These LED illumination boards were designed for the Voron 0.2 3D printer but are perfect for my needs here. We plan to mount a pair of these either side of the cold plate in the #CloudChamber

Good progress on the #CloudChamber CAD model tonight. I added LED strip lighting around the plate. Now I have positions for the mounting holes I can laser cut the acrylic at Makespace tomorrow. Then we can start assembling it an do more testing.
