Headlines this morning: Pam Bondi has ordered the arrest of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort, alleging they were participating as part of a protest.
Lemon and Fort state they were not part of the protest and instead were there as journalists covering the story.
Ordinarily, federal prosecutors would not be involved in investigating & filing charges for a protest. I'd expect the local police and prosecutors to handle that. IANAL

If a person says they didn't support Harris Walz because of (progressive reasons), but now admit they didn't realize it would get this bad and they should have supported Harris in 2024... I can at least respect that they are able to see it was a mistake and now regret their choice.
The progressive nitwits in January 2026 that can take a look at all this and still not regret their choice to snub Harris... I just can't understand it.

Take a look at Paul’s thread on the #IceProtests in #Minneapolis today! Stay warm and safe everyone!

Oh good, I was wondering what racists might be thinking about the situation in #Minnesota and those #racist pieces of shit at The Babylon Bee were happy to blow their dog whistle for me.
If you do stumble upon it, I’d encourage you to click thumbs down, then report it for encouraging violence through use of negative racial stereotypes. (I did.)

In #Python, you could write sensible and transparent code, like this:
if (curNode):
curNode = curNode.nextBut if you prefer something that is functionally identical, but harder to read, try this:
curNode and (curNode := curNode.next)
Follow me for more great tips on how to make life hell for the next person working with your code (which could be you).

Mom has several events that are real gut punches without much buildup or foreshadowing. They're not gratuitous though—they’re key plot & character developments & are genuinely thought provoking. A few still make my eyes water even on the 4th viewing. Very few shows are this good at blending laugh-out-loud humor with authentic emotional drama.
My recommendation as always: if you find this interesting, add it to your watchlist. Mom is currently streaming free on Netflix (USA).

One thing that is noteworthy is that most of the main and recurring characters are women. As the show progresses, it shifts away from Christy and instead features six women who meet in AA and form a network of lifelong friendships. Many entire scenes would easily pass the Bechdel test, and I'm almost certain every episode has a conversation that would pass.

I just finished my ~4th play through of the TV series Mom (2013). My quick review.
(very mild spoilers)
Mom is one of my favorite post-2000 comedy TV shows. The show follows Christy, an alcoholic in recovery, as she tries to juggle work, raise two kids, and rebuild her messy relationship with her often‑chaotic alcoholic mother, Bonnie. Many alcohol, drug, & sex references, so not kid friendly.

I heard from a colleague that a system was just identified with a y2k bug.
Wait, how is that possible?!
A system was using 2 digits to store and transmit the year. To resolve the initial y2k problem, the system employed the date window technique, where that window ended with 2025.
