The #Cowboys are worst in the league at rushing yards allowed per game (168) and opponents passer rating (120.5).
They’re also the only team in the NFL without an interception and their two takeaways are their fewest through five games in franchise history.
Tell me what praise he deserves?
With the hiring of longtime NFL coach Mike Pettine as senior defensive assistant, #Cowboys first-time DC Christian Parker will be coaching from booth rather than sideline, team Jerry Jones told @1053thefan
The #Cowboys are carefully representing the hiring of Pettine as someone who is here to support Christian Parker and offer advice based on his experience. But NFL coaches I’ve spoken to who know Pettine and the dynamics of the situation with the Cowboys believe the more influence and responsibility Pettine has, the better for the team.
One HC who had Pettine on his staff: “They finally hired a real coach. Pettine is legit. Dallas will walk away with that division now.”

My weekly NFL conversation with The Musers coming near the top of the hour. I’ve asked some coaches around the league about the #Cowboys hiring Mike Pettine to their defensive coaching staff. I will share that with you at 7:55 am.

Five games into the season, the #Cowboys hire to provide veteran coaching assistance for first-time DC Christian Parker.
